This DLCL Film Series seeks to explore the various ways in which 鈥淎merica鈥 is reflected in different national cinemas. How is America seen from an outside perspective and how did America inspire the European imagination? We hope to follow these questions with this exemplary selection of cinematic masterpieces. As a sequel of last quarter鈥檚 German Film Series, there remains a certain focus on German films, but the scope of this film series is mainly a European one.
